Potty Training

March 1, 2012

We’re officially in the thick of potty training at our house. Exciting times!  Things are going very well so far. Isaac wears no pants at home, which helps him remember to tell us when he needs to go to the bathroom.  He wears pants when we’re out and about which causes a few accidents here and there, but he’s getting better and better about using public potties successfully!

I have the most hilarious and cute picture of him sitting on his little potty at home.  He likes to set the potty right in front of his toy and book shelf so he can browse his collection while he’s occupied.

I think it might be crossing the line to post the picture here, but I will (privately) cherish this hilarious picture forever Smile

Ooh– you will have to give me pointers. We tried about a month ago with Oliver. It only took one “accident” in underware for him to insist on diapers!

Isaac cried about wanting his diapers back on earlier tries. This time I made a big show of taking the last box of diapers back to Target, returning them, then telling Isaac that we had NO MORE diapers in the house. Bought pull ups (aka “underpants”) for naps & night. This really helped. We are still doing no pants at home – it has been 2 weeks as of today – and that helped too.
