Easter Egg Hunt

May 1, 2011

I completely forgot to post the pictures we took of Isaac’s very first Easter egg hunt!

First things first, we ate this coffee cake on Easter morning.  You may remember it from the brunch party I mentioned…  I made two and froze one.

We went over to Sylvie’s house for the egg hunt.  It was pretty cold out – definitely winter jacket weather.  It had actually snowed the day before, but luckily it was all melted in time for the hunt.

Dulcie and I hid eggs around the backyard. Most of them were easy to find…like laying next to a flower bed.

Isaac’s favorite part of the whole experience was getting to pile the eggs into his basket as he found them.  He loves putting stuff in boxes, baskets, etc.

There’s another egg. Tough one!

Some of the eggs were just…laying in the middle of the grass.   These are 18 month olds after all.  Next year is when the real hiding will happen!

Toddlers are so cute how they squat down to pick up the eggs

Proud to have found her egg and put it into the purse that she is carrying all by herself! So mature!

Here’s an egg hidden in the sprinkler!

The most fun part in Isaac’s opinion – making an egg deposit.

A well hidden egg: perched atop a cement block and entangled in vines!
