Signal Cabin

March 28, 2011

I was looking at Sunset Magazine the other day and this little cabin in the woods caught my eye.  It is really tiny – only 130 sq ft, with a sleeping loft and a big open front porch.  No electricty or running water or anything like that.

This couple bought a piece of really remote land in Oregon and then designed & built this cabin for $10,000.

I love this idea – what a neat idea for a really inexpensive “holiday” home.  Jamie can’t stop making fun of me and wants to know how this is different than just camping.  It is MUCH different though – your own little home in the woods!

I think it’d be so fun to have a little holiday place like this – so rustic & cute.

It’s so funny that it has a door…when the rest is wide open.

In Minnesota, you would refer to this as an extremely fancy “Deer Camp”. Love it!:)
