Beet Carrot Apple Juice

I made some beet-carrot-apple juice today to go with my breakfast.  Aunt Beverly gave me the idea when she sent an email with pictures of her making a beet-carrot-apple smoothie.  Unfortunately she said it didn’t make a good smoothie and I can imagine…sounds very thick and fibrous-y.

I thought the juice, however, turned out very well.  Aunt Beverly, you are officially invited to come visit us and sample some juice!  Or we could try a new one, if you want Smile

First green apple:

Then the carrots:

Then the beets.  The juice was so red (from 2 small beets) that it stained part of my nose where the rim of the glass bumped it!

Yum!  It did taste earthy and rooty (the other descriptor she used for the smoothie), and was very sweet.  Jamie and Isaac didn’t even get to taste it – I guzzled it all.  Two thumbs up.

    That’s one of my favorites too. In addition to the carrots, beet and organic apple, try adding some celery.

    Celery, Uncle Dee! Celery, too??
    That is quadruple rooty!
    But, Sarah is a wonder with the Juicer, so I look forward to cool drink one day in her kitchen!

    Celery adds a nice salty side aspect. The blend reminds me of Cajun cooking. Each sip providing a colorful palette of tastes, exploding at different times.
