January 1, 2011

Here are my resolutions.  The first one I’ve made before and haven’t been that great at, but maybe this year will be the year for it.  The 2nd one is new and inspired by the book I just finished reading, Animal Vegetable Miracle.

  1. Have friends over for meals more often
  2. Join a CSA and make an effort to eat local produce, in season

Two worthy goals: Friends and health.
CSA sounds similar to what my old college roommate David Mervis (AKA “Navada”) has been working towards, but on a more local basis. See:
2), Navada is on the Board of Directors
    3) Ozark Natural Foods and David Mervis are also both on Facebook
    Peace & Love,

    1. We’ll be happy to accept your invitation for dinner.

    2. We’ve been doing Door-to-Door Organics which has been really good, although it is only partly local. During the growing season (April to September, maybe?) you can pay a dollar more and it can be all local. The problem is that Colorado’s growing season is so limited!

I will check our door to door…have you tried any others since you’ve been in Longmont? I know Diana has one, but I’m not sure of its name.

Me, too! I’m having two new people to dinner tomorrow night. (Hope I’m not like those people at the gym who start out really enthusiastic and then by week #2 they wimp out and stay home!)

What are you cooking for them? And do the new gym-goers really only last a week? pathetic! 🙂
