Half Moon Bay

October 19, 2010

One of the highlights of our week in San Francisco was driving down to Half Moon Bay to spend the day on the beach!  It was perfect beautiful weather there and we had the beach to ourselves.  Isaac was giddy with the freedom of an entire beach to roam, as you can see.

We brought blankets, an umbrella, Henry’s bouncy chair, and a picnic lunch.

Henry sat in his chair and gazed at the ocean, Isaac ate sand, and Jenny and I enjoyed our gas station-sourced picnic of beef jerky and Doritos.

There was a bluff at the edge of the beach that ended in a cliff, below which was the beach.  Isaac and I did a photo shoot on the bluff while Henry ate lunch…

Unfortunately Isaac was not in the mood to pose, he wanted to crawl around and explore (without touching his knees to the ground).

Then we went down to the beach and set up our cozy spot.

Isaac attempted to scale the cliff.

then played in the sand…

Later we all went for a walk down the beach.

While we were gone the seagulls stole our bag of chips!

Nothing like a day at the beach to make your spirits soar, eh, Isaac?
